Obstetrics and Gynecology in Virginia

 

 

Supriya Varma, M.D., F.A.C.O.G.

Dr. Varma is a board certified obstetrician and gynecologist. After medical school, Dr. Varma pursued her clinical research fellowship at Columbia University's affiliated St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital in New York City, with additional studies at Ohio State University's Clinical Research Center.

Dr. Varma then completed the rigorous obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Surgical training program at John Hopkins University Hospital. Upon completion of her studies at John Hopkins, she was honored to receive the outstanding chief resident teaching award. She has been in practice for several years in Northern Virginia and is also on the staff at George Washington University medical center as an assistant clinical professor.

Dr. Varma is married and her son, Avnish, is the center of her life.

Deborah D. Wilder, M.D.

Dr. Deborah Diane Wilder brings an experienced and distinguished medical career to The Women’s Care Group.

Dr. Wilder received her undergraduate degree, graduating Cum Laude, with a double major in Mathematics and Biology, from Bethune Cookman College. After graduation, Dr. Wilder’s life long passion for science and medicine lead her to The Howard University School of Medicine where she was a PhD Candidate with an emphasis in Microbiology.

Following her tenure at Howard University, Dr. Wilder then accepted a position on the faculty at the prestigious United States House of Representatives – Page School, which is located on the fourth floor of the Library of Congress Jefferson Building. Dr. Wilder’s love of teaching and subject knowledge was a great influence on many of her students as she lead them in classes ranging from Algebra, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus and Calculus.

Dr. Wilder was then accepted and graduated from the Georgetown University School of Medicine. Her residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology, also at Georgetown University, fulfilled her desire to serve and care for women’s medical needs.

Dr. Wilder is married and a member on numerous local and national organizations.

Lena M. Mikulak, R.N., MSN, APEN-BC

Lena M. Mikulak, Nurse Practitioner, brings a wealth of Obstetric and Gynecological care to our practice.

Lena’s education includes an undergraduate degree in Nursing for the prestigious Georgetown University school of Nursing. Following graduation, Lena joined Georgetown University Hospital in August 2001, and has worked in the Labor and Delivery Unit until the present time. During her almost 8 years at Georgetown Hospital, she has managed a diverse patient population, providing skilled nursing care to obstetric, gynecologic and high risk obstetric patients.

Lena resumed her studies at Georgetown University receiving her Master of Science in Nursing in December 2006.

 

 

 

 
ElizabethKanianthra

Elizabeth Kanianthra – PA-C

Elizabeth Kanianthra is a welcomed addition to our medical staff. She has extensive experience in diagnosing and treating patients for gynecological, obstetric, and infertility conditions as well assisting in surgeries to our practice.

Elizabeth received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from The Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Following her graduation, she attended The George Washington University where she obtained her second Bachelor of Science Degree as a Health Physician Assistant Certification.

She is a Board Certified Physician Assistant and a member in good standing of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Elizabeth is also a recognized member of
“Who’s Who of Health Professionals”.

Elizabeth brings many years of valuable experience in providing superior health care to women to the Women’s Care Group. She lives in Leesburg, VA with her husband and two daughters.
